1. install download manager from the usb application menu. Enable telnet, and then login to your router.

2. Because you installed download manager it also sets up the package manger ipkg and the oleg and asus repositories.

3. Now you do ipkg install net-snmp and voila, snmp is installed.

4. To get snmp fired up on boot you do app_set_enable.sh net-snmp yes

5. if you want it to start after a reboot do a app_set_enabled net-snmp yes and it will start snmp on reboot

In /opt/etc/ you will find the snmpd.conf
